Holding the Light When Your Own Path Feels Uncertain
Being a solopreneur has been one of the most challenging journeys of my life.
No one really talks about all the hats you wear. One moment you're the CEO, the next you're the CFO, then you're creating social media, answering emails, cleaning the office, paying invoices, marketing your business, supporting clients, and somehow trying to remember to eat, exercise, and take care of yourself along the way.
Then there's the mindset that quietly follows you everywhere...
"Time is money."
If you're resting, your mind tells you that you should be working.
If you're working, your mind reminds you of everything else you should be doing.
Since opening the wellness center last September, I can't believe we're already approaching ten months. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, but also one of the most exhausting. I have poured my heart into creating visibility—not only for Divine Reconnections, but for the wellness center and every practitioner who shares this space. My focus has always been to hold the light for those who are searching for healing.
Coming from a Cyber Security Project Management background, I knew how to work hard.
I knew how to solve problems.
I knew how to hustle.
What I didn't know was that building a healing business requires an entirely different way of being.
Corporate taught me to push harder.
Healing has been teaching me to soften.
Some days I feel completely aligned and everything flows beautifully.
Other days I feel exhausted and wonder if I'm doing enough.
That alone has been one of my greatest lessons.
Recently I've also been challenged by something I never expected to struggle with...
Competition.
As more incredible healers continue to emerge, I've caught myself feeling something I didn't want to admit.
Scarcity.
Comparison.
Wondering if I'm enough.
Wondering if there is enough business to go around.
Sound familiar?
Whether you're building a business, raising a family, changing careers, or simply trying to find your footing, I think we all compare ourselves at times. We look around and measure our progress against someone else's highlight reel instead of remembering our own journey.
Then I remembered something.
Quiet seasons do not mean we are failing.
A slower business does not mean we aren't holding the light.
Sometimes life is simply asking us to trust before we can see.
That lesson wasn't new for me.
In 2023 I was working between 65 and 85 hours every week while running Divine Reconnections and working full-time as a Project Manager.
I was making great money.
But I wasn't living.
I wasn't exercising.
I barely had time to eat.
My body was in constant pain.
I couldn't comfortably stand or sit, and after countless appointments my doctor finally looked at me and said something I'll never forget.
He believed stress was slowly killing me.
After testing my cortisol, my levels were in the high 500s when they should have been in the 300s.
His exact words were that I was "a walking aneurysm waiting to happen."
I was devastated.
I loved both careers.
I didn't know which one to leave.
So I did the only thing I knew how to do.
I asked my guides to make the decision for me.
Four days later, on my day off, I received the phone call that I had been laid off.
Just like that.
The decision had been made.
Looking back, I know my guides answered exactly what I had asked for.
That moment required complete faith.
I stepped fully into Divine Reconnections and began holding space for others while learning one of the hardest lessons of my own life.
Self-prioritization.
I had spent years teaching people to reconnect with themselves, yet I was still learning what that truly meant.
These last two years have been the most fulfilling years of my life.
They've also been some of the hardest.
No one prepares you for what it takes to build a business, let alone one centered around healing.
It stretches every insecurity.
Every fear.
Every limiting belief.
And lately, scarcity has been one of mine.
As I've spent more time connecting with other light workers, something beautiful has happened.
I've realized their struggles are my struggles.
We all wonder if we're enough.
We all question ourselves.
We all have moments where we wonder if we're on the right path.
But collaboration has shown me something competition never could.
There truly is enough.
Enough clients.
Enough opportunities.
Enough abundance.
Enough light.
The people who are meant to work with me will find me.
The people who are meant to work with someone else will find them.
Our lights are not competing with one another.
They're illuminating different paths for different people.
The cosmos seem to be reflecting this theme as well.
Mystic Mama recently wrote:
"Since our last Full Moon there might have been something we've had to let go of... a loss or an ending that has been very hard and unexpected."
That resonated deeply with me.
She also shared:
"We are being offered a renewed perspective on our emotional experiences so we can see how they shaped who we have become."
And perhaps that's exactly where many of us are.
Not broken.
Not behind.
Simply becoming.
Even my Tarot reader recently shared that as we move into Leo season and the eclipses beginning in August, the energy shifts dramatically toward movement, action, and forward momentum.
That felt hopeful.
Then, just for fun, I calculated my Personal Year Number in numerology.
Mine is a 5 Year.
The year of change.
Honestly... it explains everything.
Transformation.
Stepping into the unknown.
Learning to trust.
Letting go of what no longer fits.
Holding steady while life rearranges itself.
Maybe that's exactly what this season has been asking of me.
Not to stop comparing.
Not to stop feeling fear.
But to recognize it, move through it, and keep holding the light anyway.
Because every trigger is simply another invitation to remember who we really are.
If this message resonated with you, I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
What season are you in right now?
Are you experiencing change?
Building something new?
Letting something go?
Learning to trust the unknown?

I truly love hearing your stories.
Sometimes all we need is someone willing to hold the light until we remember how brightly we shine ourselves.
With love,
Alexandra
