As I’ve finished my shows for the spring, I’ve taken time to sit and reflect on what the collective is going through and what people are truly struggling with. What keeps coming up is how easily we can slip into spaces of scarcity—even myself at times—especially when everything feels chaotic.
We are in a time where the planet, humanity, and even our sense of security feel like they’re in a state of disruption and breaking patterns. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had dreams of things breaking and of being lost. These types of dreams often signal that old ways of being are ending, and that a new level of trust is being asked of us. A deeper surrender. A space where we allow what is meant for us to come in—without force.
This isn’t about hustling or swimming against the current to make things happen. It’s about listening to your body and what it needs. It’s about honoring the moments when you feel inspired and creative—and also honoring when you need stillness. Even when the to-do list feels overwhelming, I’ve had to remind myself that I can only show up fully when I honor what my vessel needs first.
It’s so easy for our shadow to pull us into a spiral, especially when life throws challenges our way. But this is the most important time to not attach to what’s happening around us. This is the time to move forward—step by step—without needing to know the final destination. Trusting that each step is guiding you exactly where you need to be.
In times of chaos, gratitude has to become the priority. That’s how we shift from lack back into flow. When I feel my flow slow down—or even just drip instead of pour—I take time to go within.
Here’s what I do to reconnect:
Gratitude.
I get clear on everything I’m grateful for—my home, my car, my friends, my clients, my relationship with my husband. Anything and everything. When you truly sit in gratitude, your connection to how much you already have expands in a powerful way.
Ask for support.
It is so important to ask for help—physically and spiritually. I ask my guides (and sometimes very directly!) to support me with what I need. Whether it’s financial support, clearing something from my space, or helping move energy—I ask, then I trust. I don’t force it. I allow it.
Visualize.
I take 10 minutes and see what I want as if it’s already here. I see the money coming in, clients flowing into my wellness center, vacations, freedom, peace. I speak it into existence: “Thank you for…” as if it’s already done.
Because here’s the truth—whatever you focus on expands.
If you stay focused on the problems, you stay in that frequency.
I was talking to a client recently whose husband has been struggling to find a job. After another rejection, she spiraled into everything going wrong. I gently guided her back to gratitude:
“Thank you for the opportunities coming his way. Thank you for the interviews. Thank you for this time to rest and reset.”
When you shift like that, the energy begins to open. You move out of resistance and back into flow, creating space for aligned opportunities to come in.
Right now, people are tired.
They’re feeling rejected, burnt out, confused, and uninspired.
Many feel like they’re just surviving—and carrying everything alone.
When it gets to this point, it’s time to clean house—internally and externally.
Your physical space matters. Your energy lives there.
When was the last time you energetically cleansed your home?
If you feel heavy or drained in your space, it’s a sign your home needs clearing.
I also book sessions for myself during these times. You have to take out the energetic trash just like you do physically. If you don’t, your system becomes overloaded—it overflows, shuts down, or burns out.
After the Body Mind Spirit Denver show, my body hit a wall. I crashed. I went to a fellow healer to help clear the exhaustion and reset my energy. And this past week, I’ve listened deeply to my body—I’ve rested, slept, and allowed myself to recharge.
And here’s what I’ve learned over and over again—
when you truly let go and honor yourself, flow returns.
Even while I was resting, my business continued to grow.
That’s the power of alignment over force.
So I want to ask you—
What are you doing for yourself right now?
Playfulness is something I hear people struggling with.
“Alex, I don’t even know what that means anymore.”
Playfulness is your connection to your Divine Feminine.
It’s what lights you up.
It can be simple:
Taking a bath with oils, bubbles, and something that makes you laugh
Sitting outside, feeling the grass, being present with nature
Playing like a child—games, coloring, painting, getting messy
Adding something that makes you feel beautiful—earrings, color, clothes, a small glow-up
What makes you smile when you look in the mirror?
So many people are afraid to let go of control.
Afraid to be in the “messy” because it feels unsafe—or like they won’t be seen.
But I can tell you this—
When I’ve allowed myself to be in the messy, that’s when my greatest flow and inspiration have come through.
There’s a difference between being stuck in chaos and allowing yourself to move through it.
When you drop the walls…
When you release control…
When you give yourself permission to just be for a moment…
That’s when everything begins to shift.
